Bits and pieces
The backstage photo with the cake might actually be from Hammersmith Odeon. In an interview Morgan Fisher talks about how backstage at the Hammersmith Odeon in 1973, Queen had brought a big cake to thank Mott the Hoople and how nobody brought any plates so Roger and Freddie started throwing pieces around.

Was at the gig and I only went to the new theater once (just to confirm there was no confusion) and there were 3 groups performing that night. Mott the hoople, Queen and from what I can recall a London based band 4/5 piece called Quadrule, I believe. Never heard anything of them before or after.
