My girlfriend and I loved the Night at the Opera album. When we saw Queen was performing downtown Detroit at the Masonic Temple we had to go. We were both 16 and never saw a concert before. Lisa's dad said he could stop by the box office and buy our tickets. He came home unsuccessful because they did not take checks!! We were so upset but he went back the next day and secured tickets for the second night, Feb 12, 1976. From the very moment the performance started we were blown away!!! It is still one of the most memorable moments of my life. The stage exploded with lights blasting and Freddie. It was awesome.
