The Foo Fighters are truly uncut shit, pure in it's essence. To those older folks who think hard rock is just noise... With the Foo Fighters, I agree 100 percent! Does any band suck more than these guys? Why does the VH1 thing have to be tainted by their horrific presence? THEY TRULY SUCK ASS!!!! WHAT A HORRIBLY SHITTY VOCALIST!!!! |

I'll say this... the Foo-Poo-crew suck ass, but holy god those All American Rejects are true to their name. Seeing this dicksmack(no pun intended, Godsmack was far better of the opening crap) group of modern rock bands makes you really appreciate the older bands they are paying homage to. What happened to good rock music? Why do most modern bands suck so painfully bad? From The Darkness to the Foo crew, there seems to be a rampant amount of horseshit filling the radio these days. F#$k these bands and the horses they rode in on. |

AmeriQueen 31.05.2006 22:56 |
I give Pearl Jam that credit. Nirvana changed music, offered a new style which I thought was pretty cool. Then PJ came along and offered a watered down, basic, kindergarten stlye of shit with boring everything, and were followed by virtually every band that came out after them over the next 10 years. Pearl Jam is one of the most influential bands in history, and that is a VERY sad state of affairs. For me, Pearl Jam was to rock n' roll what aids was to Freddie. |

Dude...Foo Fighters kick ass...ever heard their CD The Colour And The Shape?? How bout their new one?? Awesome!! Beautiful!! |
AmeriQueen 01.06.2006 02:11 |
The only beautiful thing is when they exit the stage. The Foo-Poo-Crew suck ass in a way that makes me think I could have been a rock star. Hell, why not? A gerbil getting it's nuts cut off would likely make a more pleasing sound than Grohl's growl. What a shitty singer! All I am really saying is that random noise is more musical than the Foo Fighters. So they love Queen. Big freaking deal! Let's hear a real band's love for Queen and let's hear their homage/opening for Queen in a tribute moment, not the shitty as is possible Foo fuckers. |
Whisperer 01.06.2006 02:34 |
I agree that Foo Fighters suck big time. Their music is mostly just noise and even the slower songs are in my opinion really bad. The song and video that irritates me the most is the one where they are on an airplane dressed as various characters. I really don't see anything funny in that video :/ |

I like the Foo Fighters and I think they did a great job with TYMD. You can tell how much they enjoy Queen's music. Their drummer looked like he was going to have an orgasm while he was playing!! He got even more excited drumming next to Roger! |

Freddie_Jr. 01.06.2006 10:24 |
I think Freddie Mercury states it best, I don't remember the quote exactly, but it was something along the lines of you can still be heavy and melodic at the same time, I think that's why Queen and Led Zeppelin and all the greats of the 70's have sucha great appeal, they know how to put on a true rock show while simultaneously playing things that are pleasant for the ear to listen to. Modern bands on the other hand just worry about how heavy they're going to be, without paying much attention to melody. |

Well, it is known that it was Taylor who brought the Queen influence into Foo Fighters, pretty much, so he must have been the most excited and honored to play with Bri and Rog. btw that 3-drummer WWRY was freakin' amazing. I found it funny, though, that Roger was mildly drumming, while Taylor and Dave were wailing around on their drumkits lol |

Iagrre with AmeriQueen....it´s asad but true; many friedns of mine think that kurt cobain changed music for better.they´re totally wrong..finally I found people who can state the music today is worse than 20 years ago. It´s also true what Freddie Jr says, and I think that the 70´s period won´t come again(is it well written?). Cheeres By the way, Foo Fighters are not so bad comparing with othere "rock", punk or metal bands nowadays. Long live to Queen |

Im not a particular fan of foo fighters one way or the other, theyre ok I suppose, but the three-drum-kit attack on WWRY was FUCKING AWESOME! |
i'm going slight mad... 01.06.2006 19:12 |
guys, you can't argue whether the foo fighters are crap or not, when it comes to music, everything is based on personal tastes!!! |

This is exactly what my Brother, Mother and I were discussing last night during the show (After Queen and Priests performances of course! ;D ;D ). That if you look at many of the bands today, they are heavily INFLUENCED by the 70's bands (Queen, Zeppelin, Floyd, Hendrix etc), but you cant really name too many influential bands NOT from England and who werent HUGE in the 70's... There are a few exceptions i suppose depending on how you look at it, however, bands today dont have the uhhhh... whats the word... Gusto (for lack of better term) and Adventure that these other bands had. Many mainstream bands today are factory produced. IMO anyway... If they look good and fit the mold of what else is selling, then they go ok, "SIGN EM" and bam thats it... but they wont be remembered in 30 years like all these other AMAZINGLY FANTASTIC bands... |

Have that stricken from the record Your Honour, he forgot to put Robbie Williams in there. To be serious a moment... I really didn't like the vocals on that TYMD performance. He sounds like a parody. |

The Foo Fighters ROCK!!!!!! Anyone who doesn't think so obviously doesn't even own a Foo CD. I dare anyone who claims they suck to listen to The Colour And The Shape and get back to me. |

The Foo Fighters version of Tie Your Mother Down was the best tribute performance of Queen I've ever heard. Absolutely phenomenal.....they rocked that song like they owned it. And I'm not even a big Foo Fighters fan. |

Ok, now having watched the Foos performance of TYMD, I have to agree that I dont like that performance. If he didnt sing it with that scream-o voice, and they did the more of the nice harmonies that Queen did when they sung the line "Tie your mother down!", then it might have stood a chance. Well, I really should say the Foos should have done mor balanced harmonies... Compare this: link (queen doin TYMD @wembley) and this: link (foos performance) Theres no competition. |

At least Queen's music will never die...that would be a real tragedy!!!! I've never heard the Foo fighters live...do they really suck that bad??? I can accept that people don't like the Foo Fighters or other bands, but what you have said doesn't really offer anything constructive, and are nothing but childish insults. The Foo's offer something different. A mixture of hard rock, soft rock, slow rock, and some beuatiful acoustic stuff too. They know how to put on a good show, and are great personalities and seem like decent people who have all the time in the world for thier fans. As far as I'm concerned, Dave Grohl gets better and better with each album, his vocals, his lyricism, his arrangements, and lets not forget the rest of the band: Taylor Hawkins is one of my favourite drummers and is one of the best around at the moment, and Nate Mendell and Chris Shiflett are very underated musicians. In my opinion, the world needs more bands like the Foo's - a few guys who make good music they enjoy, and who are just happy to be doing what they are doing and thoroughly appreciate the position they are in. As a side note, it's great to see one of the biggest acts in music at the moment (like them or not, it's arguably true) are so open about their lov for Queen. Dave, and more so Taylor, especially. If anything, it's good for Queen, because it keeps them valid outside of re-re-re-releasing Greatest Hits One. |
