Hopefully this'll start a trend of getting people to actually LISTEN to requests of others who miss out on important downloads (that get deleted shortly after they're uploaded), instead of hogging it to themselves among a select few... link link link link link Enjoy. |

Is this something Brian did as a favour? I think I remember hearing about it. Peace, Adam. |
Nasse 06.05.2006 17:49 |
but how long are the tracks of this download? |
inu-liger 06.05.2006 18:28 |
Adam Baboolal wrote: Is this something Brian did as a favour? I think I remember hearing about it. Peace, Adam. This was music that Brian wrote programmed on a MIDI synth, transferred to cassette from a diskette, and discarded the disk afterwards (which ended up in legitimate hands). This was for the 1990 production of Macbeth. This was uploaded by John S. Stuart originally. |

Oh, and I should be uploading these to Megaupload later on today in one collected zip file, for those of you who may ask for it later on. |

Hey John. The MIDI's themselves, along with how they're programmed, sound as good as the soundfonts that you or other people are using with them. Different soundfonts produce different sounds and results, so it's not necessarily a "tinny" sound always. |

Are you saying that poor midi files (with really bad synthetic guitar) will sound better if the 'guitar programme' is better? |

Soundfonts are a collection of samples that can be played back on a computer via a midi sequence. In other words, what Inu meant is that as long as the person playing back a midi has good quality instruments in their pc or keyboard, it should sound decent. But yes, programming is a big part of whether it works or not. So, an 8MB piano might not sound as good as a 64MB piano, etc. etc. Peace, Adam. |

So in other words it´s a studio recording in front of a live audience Is that the one u are looking for? |

I know that the live performance is backed by the studio version - but the live version is a very poor qualiity version, which also suffers from actor and studio over-chatter. I know that some promo cassetes were distributed on the night - so if anyone has a copy of these, ofcourse I would be interested. In the meantime, as these studio versions are so hard to get hold of, perhaps a re-creation could fill that void. Does this make sense? |

i dont have any cleaning skills, but i know a guy who does. Hopefully he will help me clean this track |
