Is this a Queen or a Freddie Song? I have been looking for it but can't find it. |

John with The Immortals |
diffner 19.10.2005 19:02 |
John Decon i suppose, when was this song recorded? |
BHM1775 19.10.2005 19:08 |
It's a Bad Company (Paul Rodgers) Classic track (from 1974 I think) |
Robin 19.10.2005 20:47 |
Yep. It's from their 1974 album "Bad Company." I was just listening to it in the car today. It has Seagull on it which is my favorite. I wish they kept it in the concert. |

Waitwait, it could be that he DOES mean the John Deacon song. This is a bonustrack on the Japanese edition of Man In The Shadows. |

jeroen wrote: Waitwait, it could be that he DOES mean the John Deacon song. So yeah, that could be it... Accidentally- I own an acetate of this track, b/w the unplugged version of "I Bloody Retired So Don't Ask This Question Anymore" |

Must be a re-release though - Can't Get Enough Of Your Love is from Man In The Shadows - that's a couple of years older then I'm Bloody Retired. |
Fenderek 20.10.2005 06:36 |
Yes, yes- that's why it's an unplugged version, it's re-recorded and it's with guest appearences- I think Johnny Knoxville plays some guitar on it. Apparently that was the reason they did it unplugged as the bugger couldn't set up his equipment... But yeah, "I Bloody Retired" is a killer track, I absolutely love it! I think apart from "I'm Bold (So What)" John's finest hour1 (well, 5 minutes, 34 seconds :) ) |

Oh guys how negative you are! People would be looking in the music markets for Man In The Shadows CD after reading this topic... ;) For starter of the topic - read this: link |

My 'Man In The Shadows' was the North Korean release, containing all of the above tracks. |
Jjeroen 20.10.2005 10:02 |
The North Korean version has Can't Get Enough of Your Love as well??? Damn, I should have known! It would have cost me only a few bucks - now I had to cough up a fortune on that expensive Japanese editon... Ah well, if it kept John alive it was a worthwhile investment. And the cartboard wallet-sleeve is very nice too of course... |
Fenderek 20.10.2005 10:15 |
Buuu... I've got only regular UK edition... PS jeroen- check you Email, sorry kept you waiting :) |
Erin 20.10.2005 11:01 |
I heard the Japanese are also releasing a special edition boxset with DVD bonus, which includes the VIDEO for Can't Get Enough of your Love (You Beautiful Stripper!) |

I once bought a vinyl on Ebay containg "John Man In The Shadows Live At The Budokan" But offcourse it was wrong labelled. it is the 23 minutes rap improvisation on the Urkish fish market in '83 after their arrival + "Man in the shadows" and "Can't Get Enough Of Your Love (You Beautiful Stripper)" from the real Budokan gig. And i also almost forgot to mention that they just putted on the "Another One Bites The Dust (Cowboys and Indians version) from the Man In The Shadows album. What a ripp off. Still looking for that Budokan gig though. I BTW found the cover from my Man In The Shadows album: link Can somebody tell me wich country it's from? |

Barbados. Promo release of EMI-Barbados, only 5 copies were printed. |
Erin 20.10.2005 14:02 |
I'm still trying to figure out if my Man in the Shadows 12" picture disc is a bootleg or the real deal. I bought it off of ebay cheap, so I am skeptical..;-) |

Erin wrote: I'm still trying to figure out if my Man in the Shadows 12" picture disc is a bootleg or the real deal. I bought it off of ebay cheap, so I am skeptical..;-)Well the 12" must be the single extended version. I prefer his "On My Own" LP above Man In The Shadows. |

I bought it off of ebay cheap, so I am skeptical..;-)You can tell the difference from the picture: it's one of those tricks, you know, like recognising the Bulgarian Greatest Hits PD by the Marshall-logo on the amplifier. And the white border/black bisycle and black border/white bicycles difference on the Jazz PD. In this case: you can recognise the original by the pimpel! Well, I dunno exactle WHAT it is, but it looks like a pimpel... or a birthmarkkinda thing... a zit... Anyway: it's right underneath his left eye. Just a tiny little bit to the left. On the bootleg the thing is GONE! - - - It falls of the border of the PD! |

IS a rerelease. And I am almost sure that it contains "I'm Bloody Retired". While the picture on your copy is from after "On My Own". And there WHERE some re-releases, with THAT picture. Does it contain that acioustic version? Offcourse I could also be horribly wrong. |

I saw a VHS 'Man In The Shadows' at Budokan on Ebay. Where can I get this on LaserDisc? |
goodco 03.11.2005 15:29 |
eil.com But be careful, as you will pay 2-3 times the 'market' value. That is, unless you have Lisa G's insurance appraiser. |
