I see this board has lost most of it's seriousness in these troubled days with new people or other immature people making stupid thread as "How long was Freddie's cock" or "Who has sucked more balls". I also see people trying to bring Queenzone up (fatty,Lester and others)again. So I'll try myself. Ok I dont not want to counter John S Stuart "Ultimate Collection" but here is something similiar to it. Their are called "MAKE YOUR OWN" threads. Basically this where you I make a list of songs and you guys can take it or leave it. It for you guys can virtually make your own Queen Release (Or bootleg CD-Rs ;)). Today topic is a counter to the Freddie Mercury Solo Collection: A Brian May Solo Collection. Pretty much I will make a list of CDs and Tracks to add. Your part is to add tracks where I miss them kinda or make your own suggestions or hell, make CD covers. We'll see how you like this. If I get enough good feedback on this topic we can make more.:D So let's start. BTW, If you have a Stupid remark keep it to yourself please. Brian May Solo Collection CD01: Starfleet 1. Starfleet 2. WOW! A pretty comprehensive list (with a few ommissions), ie The Stonk 7" & 12", and also the Thames TV sessions with "1984" recorded back in 1968. That said, where do I find the following tracks please? Give Me Time Sugar Lump Girl Yours Sincerely I'm Just a Rolling Stone Don't Fall Away From Me Thanks! David |
Pim Derks 19.07.2005 08:27 |
Don't Fall Away From Me was recorded with former Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett in (I think) 1986. |

How about "Whattcha Gonna Doooooo About It" - I heard that on an all-Queen/related radio station - something with Tim Staffel...that needs to be added in somewhere. |

Wow! Your box set would be so big that it would have rooms that I could walk into and put my feet up in! Rock! |

Freddie May 23.07.2005 06:29 |
The John Deacon Solo collection will be less expensive : I think it doesn't need more than 2 CD's :-p |

But why "FBI" & "Only Make Believe" aren't in "the Singles". They're the "Why don't we try again" B-side, at least the photo disc... Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think they're quite rarities... |
Mercuryworks 11.08.2005 20:34 |
They are but I wouldve liked to kept it in orders and I would have fixed this and made some more. But noone gave a shit |

Mercuryworks wrote: CD15: Rarities 3 - Other Sessions Improvisation (Howard Stern Show 1993)I have been searching high and low for this 1993 interview that Brian did on the Howard Stern Show. I believe it was done on either 5/5/93 or 5/6/93. If anyone has it and/or can make sure that Mercuryworks gets this post, I would GREATLY appreciate knowing it. My email addy is nw34gal@yahoo.com ...thank you SO much!!! |
Thanks 11.03.2006 16:34 |
The "Selfish Mix" of Self by Fuzzbox does not feature Brian. There was a Instrumental Version of Too Much Love in addition to the guitar version. There was a "New version" of Driven by You (with Cozy & Neil Murray) The alternate "Love Token" was not released as a single. |
Thanks 11.03.2006 16:42 |
Hang on, you've got "Love Token (single version)" twice as well as the Explicit version, the US edit of Star Fleet as a "BTTL session". |
Thanks 11.03.2006 16:45 |
Fucking hell, if you take out all the duplication you'd save two discs... |
ok.computer 14.03.2006 15:55 |
Och give over...the guy's having some fun.... *sheesh* some people, eh...? |
Thanks 14.03.2006 16:43 |
Well, I was trying to contribute constructively until I realised how bad it was. |
Erin 14.03.2006 16:55 |
If I was making my own Brian Solo Collection, it sure as hell wouldn't have any Anita Dobson crap on it..:-) |
DragonOnMyBack 16.03.2006 10:51 |
If you wanted to reduce discs you could drop the CD version of the Brixton Show and just keep an updated version of the old VHS as a DVD with DTS and the edited John Lennon track put back in. |
