Ciggs? Are you referring to making the venues non smoking? Bullshit is that "moaning".
If anyone can't last 2 hours without having a smoke they're the sad one, not Brian.
Sure people have the right to smoke, but only where it's possible for non-smokers to avoid it.
Anyway, I went to Cardiff and the hall was packed, it was so hot and it seemed like there was no oxygen in the whole room. Adding ciggerette smoke to that would have been a really, really crap idea!
i dont smoke!! but i mean ciggs are just something else he has been moaning about.when he went to the brits he moaned about how uncomfortable it was for him (driven there, nice table free food drink driven back). what does he think it has been like for us over the years travelling miles, queing for hours, getting pushed ,shoved and spending fortunes...
we keep doing it though without moaning . what is his problem (being filmed and recorded)

his dad died due to smoking and since then hes been against smoking.
i hate smoking. i dont see the point of inhaling the smoke from a south american leaf and on top of that it slowly ruins your life and your finances
South American leaf? Tastes more like horse-shit these days. Wouldn't suprise me if it was.
Brian getting grumpy? Christ, he's getting dangerously close to 60 - you're entitled to be grumpy when you get older :)
He can be miserable about whatever the hell he likes as far as i'm concerned - the miserable old git still rocks ;)
I don't smoke or drink or do drugs. I agree with Brian. Both cancer sticks and marijuana(much to popular opinion) contributed to my mother's COPD which in turn also led to diabetes. I now have an allergic reaction to smoke and two of my three best friends(the third best friend is like myself, a non-smoker) that do smoke either go outside or have windows down when I am in the car because my throat closes up, eyes swell and get a bad headache and they know I detest it.
heck man...after all Brian has given us, he's entitled to any mood he wants....and really I don't find him grumpy...you don't want the inexpensive downloads then don't buy them.....I'll get every one....as for cameras, cigs etc....who cares....he should have some rights too......as long as he keeps working and making music I am as thrilled as can be
Maybe Brian's getting a bit grumpy -- but deep down he seems to have a really good heart.
I think (tho I ain't a shrink) the insanity of world events gets him down and he vents his pain by lashing out at smokers, journalists, and anyone who hates the musical.
i understand his point of view on most things he gets grumpy about. actually its more than that. usually i feel exactly the same and im usually glad that somebody else is voicing their opinion. if he could maybe do it in a way that argues his point fairly and resonably then it would be better. his opinions are the same as mine but sometimes he seems to just shout them out and get angry at anyone who has a different one, which again i guess i can understand because its human nature to feel a bit put out by that. but he doesn't ever really (to my knowledge) state why he feels like he does, and so it comes across as ill-thought out and that makes it just ranting. did i make any point in all of that? i don't know. does it make any sense? maybe not. sorry.
has anyone ever seen him laugh. he smiles but never seen him have a good laugh. chris evans tried at the brits but bri wasnt having any of it.

I very highly respect that Brian is so open about his feelings. Everyone isn't going to agree with everything he says, so DEAL WITH IT. His Soapbox is his special place to vent his feelings, good, bad, and everything in between. How many other rock stars of his caliber are so true to themselves and show such inner expression? I'd like to say zero, but I'd be interested to see if anyone can prove that wrong.

He's right about smoking. Even more- about the cameras. Quite few times I already mentioned the lame audience in Sheffield, taht didn't know what "I'm In Love With My Car" was... Half of the people were constantly filming and taking pictures- not just two but hundreds. The guy who was standing in front of me made 300 of them! I undesratnd 20. 50... 80... But 300? Do you remeber anything from the gig??? And if everyone would do just that- who's to clap? Who's to cheer the band? Instead of enthusiastic audience you see people holding cameras... Actually- mobile phones... Call me sentimental- I liked it in the old days (few years ago...) when people were participating in the rock show, not just constantly taking pictures.. Is it a rock gig or a sightseeing tour? I can understand taking few- SURE. As I said- take 50- fair enough... But I saw people who were doing nothing else but taking pictures...
