The Brian May Band Live In Los Angles 1993 (20th Anniversary Edition) CMI Music - revision 2013 Original version was made in 2009 Tour: Back To The Light US Tour 1993 Date: 6th April 1993 Venue: The Palace, Los Angeles, USA Running Time: 61:10 Lineage: * Source 1: Coca Cola Planet Live CD > EAC > WAV 16/44 > 32/44 merge/remastering > WAV 16/44 > FLAC ** Source 2: Westwood One broadcast CD > EAC > WAV 16/44 > 32/44 merge/remastering > WAV 16/44 > FLAC Tracklist: 1. The Dark (*) 1:24 2. Back To The Light (*) 5:46 3. Driven By You (*) 4:24 4. Tie Your Mother Down (*) 5:04 5. Love Of My Life (*) 4:48 6. '39 (*) 0:52 7. Too Much Love Will Kill You (*) 4:42 8. Now I'm Here (*) 5:34 9. Guitar Extravagance (*) 5:00 10. Resurrection (*) 6:11 11. Bohemian Rhapsody (*) 0:44 12. Resurrection (reprise) (*) 2:27 13. Last Horizon (*) 4:06 14. Hammer To Fall (*/**) 5:38 15. We Will Rock You (**) 4:31 Notes: This edition was compiled from two sources to provide the most complete version of this concert. Now it has about 20 extra minutes of live material in addition to the common Westwood One version. Both sources have excellent quality, so the Source 2 was used only to provide the last track of the show, which is absent on the Source 1. The speed on both sources is different so it was corrected to match each other. Special thanks: to bootLuca for providing the Source 1 from original Coca Cola Planet CD. |

cmi wrote: aristide1, burn in hell! Please do not send me messages in Brian May announcements. I am not a fan of his solo output, so I rarely visit them. This applies to your posts too. You say "Now it has about 20 extra minutes of live material in addition to the common version." Wrong. This is copy-paste from 2009. In fact there are less than 5min from the "common version" added to the Coca Cola CD. The burning questions from hell are: Why did you abandoned the original merge from 2009? It took you 5 years to realize it was crap? |

Yikes, the claws are out.. As for the music itself - unbeknownst to most, this was greatly patched up at a studio in LA before being pressed to CD and broadcast on the radio. Who knows, maybe this is the complete show. Opening for GNR, his set was often just an hour long. What's the difference between this version and the 2009 one? |
bootLuca 21.11.2014 13:18 |
in this version the source 2 is taken directly from the promo cd |

The Real Wizard wrote: What's the difference between this version and the 2009 one? When I've got the rip from original Coca Cola Planet CD, thanks to bootluca, I've found that previous source I used was weaker in quality. So in this revision I used all live tracks from original Coca Cola Planet CD as its mix doesn't feature any fake audience cheering and has excellent sounding. Westwood One source features some unnatural audience cheering between tracks, so I used only the last track from this source. |

Cool, thanks for the explanation. Definitely going to grab this one. |

I was there. :-) So no, this is not the complete show. The full set was very similar to Live at Brixton. 'Let Your Heart Rule Your Head' came after the '39 intro, 'Love Token' and 'Since You've Been Gone' were played, and I'm sure some others that I can't think of at the moment. |

^ Thanks for info to you as a eyewitness! As I know they didn't play Headlong in this US tour so the Love Token must be complete, not part of a medley. Also possibly there was no Spike's Keyboard solo before Since You've Been Gone. Of course '39 was originally sung before Let Your Heart Rule Your Head. There's a clearly heard cut between '39 and TMLWKY. |

The Real Wizard wrote: Awesome, man - thanks for the info.No prob, Bob, happy to help! Brings back a great memory of that show - it was very emotional for both Brian and the fans to have him up on stage again! And no, I don't believe Headlong was played. Brian probably played a few bars of it as an intro to Love Token, as he likes to do with Fat Bottomed Girls, due to the same drop-D tuning in all of those songs. |

There's a clearly heard cut between '39 and TMLWKY. All of that is correct, except Spike may have still done a short solo. I really don't remember for sure. But Love Token was definitely complete, with Brian's "argument" with one of the girl singers. And thank you for putting this version together, and for the upgrade! |

Anything besides the Osaka shows would be good |
The Real Wizard 16.11.2019 18:43 |
A bunch of them have already been posted here. They're indexed at queenconcerts.com, in lieu of a decent search engine here. |

Do you have anything that hasn’t been reuploaded recently? All the links apart from the Osaka shows and the Rio audience tape are dead |
