Okay finally this year the Rainbow shows will be released. Personally I think Queenzone is dead, it is full of trolls. What was used to be a expert website turned into a troll posting forum. I wanted to give you so much more. But the Queen world seems to be turned into a secret service , I trade this but you cannot trade it, or I give you this but do not do anything with it, you can buy this but don;t sell it…. The Queen world is the opisite of the other bands communuty which don’t feauture fantholgy’s,fake rumours, or any other hoardings…. Download the link below…. A secret and personal tribute to what (IMO!!!!) is the best ever Queen show recorded! No moustache, no yellow jacket, no big stage…just the Queen in it’s purest form. Don’t say this is my last goodbye, but I am one of the few big time collectors which spent time, effort and money to expand his collection, rather than search for a download button like the most of you. This share was on eof my greatest finds in all those years!!!! So I hope you cunts and trolls will enjoy it !!! Of course this one will be release don japanese bootleg cd soon , and hope Brian May will get the attention when he downloaded this show and notice how GOOD Queen played this night. This is really the best ever Queen show recorded ! Linaege : Recording (trident) > REEL T Reel tape (elektra territories) > WAV > FLAC > Queenzonecunts ! PS : the first chorus had a right channel dropout for 1 second, which wa patched in with the radio reel tape source (ONLY AT THE RIGHT CHANNEL ) for the rest the tapes had a clean transfer ! Thanks for the patch : WERALZWORE !! So don;t ask me for torrents, or a download button….If you do I hope you will die in agony ! link |

I hope you this year ARE correct and the show(s) WILL be released, it would be about bloody time! Well it's time to say a big thank you for this and for those of you who don't have it yet, it's the best quality we are able to get right now. And the concert itself belongs to the best Queen performance ever, this is the sheer power for which they were famous for in their early days. A short DVD of this show will follow in a few days. |

DepeX wrote: Thanks a lot, Sikke! Excuse my incompetence, but is this a new source? Thanks againYes this is a new transfer of my reel to reel tapes collection. The radio reel to reel tape I shared i about 2010-2011 is incomplete. This a another unique Elektra reel to reel tape transfer. So nothing new on the track selection just pay attention to it's quality. |

Here is the uncut raw PCM 24bit/96Khz transfer I got back from the studio. The share above got this problem patched in with the radio reel source ! So here is the dropout in the right channel of KYA, perhaps anyone of you could make a bette patch, perhaps a double mono patch...So this is what was on the reel to reel tape! Rainbow 31-03-1974 RAW transfer 24/96Khz Size about 1.7 gigb. Linaege : elektra reel to r tape : studio : 24/96khz pcm file (expert only!) link And all of you drink a toast to this 40 years anniversery !!! Cheers Queen , what a show, what a night !!! |
DepeX 31.03.2014 11:34 |
So the first share on this page is the FIXED version, and the last one is the ORIGINAL one? |
Ghostwithasmile is BACK! 31.03.2014 11:39 |
Wll the first share is a 14bit 48Khz. redention of the raw transfer of this reel to reel tape. With 1 second patched in from the radio show I previously shared years ago. The second on is the Original transfer in 24/96 which I got back from the studio. Which features the drop out in the right channel during the first chorus of KYA. Hope you understand.... |they are slightly different to each other.... the difference is the 1 sec drop out is patched in the first, and is blanc in the second. |
DepeX 31.03.2014 11:41 |

It wouldn't be the first time someone has auctioned off a nicely packaged reel tape that was actually dubbed from a digital source last year. Either way, good detective work. If the resulting file from the transfer is 32/96, there's no way the digital filter was introduced in the transfer itself. The guy doing the transfer was just doing his job, and wouldn't unnecessarily tamper with it digitally. I'm not entirely convinced either way, but there are definitely some good questions that require even better answers. Technical jargon aside - this recording sounds great and demonstrates what a f&cking amazing band Queen were in 1974. |
queenuruguay 01.04.2014 17:51 |
They were really a great live band in the seventies, and after spending the afternoon listening to the Hammersmith 1975 Christmas show I think that concert deserves an official release, as the ones at Rainbow. Hope we finally get in our hands these concerts during this year. In the meantime, thanks to the uploader of this gem. I also hope Queen Productions takes note of the success this kind of recordings have and open their archive sometime to edit a box like we have been expecting all these years. |

people on streets wrote:Bingo.Ghostsmile wrote: The Queen world is the opisite of the other bands communuty which don’t feauture fantholgy’s,fake rumours, or any other hoardings….I don't agree. It's the same with most bands. Queen collectors are far from being the worst hoarders in the world. Furthermore, most (if not all) things Queen collectors hoard aren't of general interest to music fans. An audience tape of Yamaguchi 79 taped from the nosebleeds? Yeah, sure. Someone's sitting on a board tape of the last Doors concert with Jim Morrison. What in Queen folklore can possibly compare with that? And we still don't know how many soundboard tapes were stolen from Jimmy Page's house in the 80s. As of last year they're still coming out on bootlegs. Hoarding at its finest, and dollar amounts that no Queen collector can even fathom. Reality check - one Queen tape has set the collecting world afire. Boston 76, taped by Dan Lampinski. This killer live recording of the band coming off their creative peak came out in 2009, and it converted a ton of people apathetic of the big hits to appreciating vintage Queen. The Bohemian Rhapsody multi-track is worth mentioning too, as it caused a bit of a ripple. But it was nothing compared to the Led Zeppelin II multi-tracks. The 8 track masters of those four 1969 songs, on the other hand, were hoarded for years. I can't possibly count the number of people who have heard those and would've killed to hear them when news of their existence hit the press. And when they came out, forums were alit for months. People were dissecting every last detail from where Jimmy Page's hand was on the guitar neck to what kind of microphone was being used and where exactly it was placed. An alternate vocal take of "loooooooove" from Whole Lotta Love, for crying out loud. The mystique of early Zeppelin was exposed. The hammer of the gods was reduced to a thimble. It was like learning how the pyramids were built. Most Queen collectors are bush league in comparison to Zeppelin, Stones, Doors, Floyd, Zappa and Gabriel era Genesis collectors. Queen aren't even on the map. And no amount of occasional self-aggrandizing will change that any time soon. That said - when the Rainbow 74 box set comes out, there sure is going to be a lot of talk about Queen. After years and years of 80s DVD releases, rock music connoisseurs will finally notice that early Queen is something worth talking about. And before that happens, someone needs to separate the tracks of the 32/96 version of this share and seed it on Dimeadozen.org. People will go nuts over there. Countless people heard the Sheetkeeckers bootleg in the 70s and this blows it away. |

The pcm file sounds absolutely fantastic ! Thank you, sir !!! I agree with the lot of you guys who think that the Queen live machine in the 70's was Queen in its purest form. They were just brilliant musically. And this recording certainly proves (again) they were a fantastic rock band on stage. Listening to 'Rainbow' again, I think they f...ing delivered on every song ! The (hopefully !) forthcoming official realease of these concerts could set Queen even higher on the 'respect ladder' (they must have climbed quite high on the 'success ladder' yet, right ?). Visually, the trendy hermaphrodite-like costumes were really part of the show and I think it also defined some elements of the Queen identity. Furthermore, they already pushed the visual effects to the limits on stage (over the top amounts of smoke, lightings that were more simple than the ones they used later, but still very efficient and thoughtful (The beginning of NIH for instance. Great idea)). I think that the Queen style was already essential to the music scene. And we all now know the beast evolved quite a bit eventually. But that's another story. |

This is the kind of show you can only listen to in complete awe... Had such a lovely listen last weekend. I also had Hammersmith '75 in my car yesterday - for the first time in years - and I had completely forgotten how wonderful that concert is. I know there are a few mistakes but there are far more brilliant moments. Brian plays beautifully during this show and - even if some of Freddie's singing is a bit off - he does a solid show without several outstanding moments. Shows such as these remind me why I became such a huge Queen fan :-) |

pittrek 18.04.2014 13:28 |
OK here is a question from the "wrong speed" guy. The first time I heard this version I noticed except the crystal clear quality that it runs slower than the other version(s). Even if you haven't heard the other version(s) you can clearly hear something is "wrong" during Procession. So how much slower is it? Roughly 2.5% slower, when I speed up the 96kHz version to 97.359 it appears to play in the same speed as my previously best version. But the main question is - is it the correct speed? The old version could be playing too fast. The speed of the old recording matches the speed of the BBC footage, but that's not a relevant source since it could go through God knows how many framerate conversions before it was converted to the web stream. Are here any people who care about speed and have ears good enough to tell which speed is correct? |
The Real Wizard 18.04.2014 22:06 |
Indeed, this version plays a slight bit too slow - about 30% of a semitone. You and I are using different scales of measurement, but we essentially come to the same result. If you correct the speed of this copy, note that it'll still be longer because there is extra audience cheering after Liar. |
queenuruguay 18.04.2014 22:16 |
An important question for the "specialists": is this concert complete or it's missing the encores? |
