Hi ,
Only for the die hards. I noticed this source was missing on Bob his website. It is a different source as the version previous shared here. I compared the vinyl version with this (cd) version and I must say it was an excellent cd transfer the no-label bootleg company did from the vinyl source. So therefore I choose to share the cd version.
Linaege unknown generation (rooted form the vinyl version(ETS 2563/64)> 2cd set gaga (Qu001/002)> saved to harddrive in WAV.
The bootleg cd's have no labels only a matrix number QU001/002
This is a second source from this show. I think Bob would grade it B / B+
There are some cut's e.g. It's hard life cuts after couple of minutes and also the speech before staying power is missing.
Unlike stated on queenlive.ca : (just a little correction) Bob writes :
"I'm not sure if this bootleg released in 1985 is from the same audience source as above.
This LP was re-released on CD with cardboard packaging, designed to mimic the LP"
This is incorrect : the japanese were very fond of releasing mini lp replica's from famous boot late ninetees. But this one came in a jewel case. It was a japanese cd release with no label on it (just as the vinyl version , this one also only featered a matrix number as for the vinyl this is matrixnumber ETS 2563/640 released in JAPAN 1985). Released in 1998. Surely not a italian release as some people suggest.
Nice show, love this version of I W T B F notice how Fred sings the last verse...very different to later live redentions of the song.
Machines (tape), Tear It Up, Tie Your Mother Down, Under Pressure, Somebody To Love, Killer Queen, Seven Seas Of Rhye, Keep Yourself Alive, Liar, It's A Hard Life, Staying Power, Dragon Attack, Now I'm Here, Is This The World We Created?, Love Of My Life, Stone Cold Crazy, Great King Rat, keyboard/guitar solos, Brighton Rock (ending), Hammer To Fall, Another One Bites The Dust, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting, Bohemian Rhapsody, Radio Ga Ga, I Want To Break Free, Sheer Heart Attack, We Will Rock You, We Are The Champions, God Save The Queen
Well good luck.
Thanks DSMEER dank je wel david ;-)
Do you have both versions ? I'm very interested in a cardsleeve version. I only have the jewel case.
Which one is more rare ? Could they have made the jewel case for the overstock copies ?
Could you upload a picture of the minilp replica version ?
I have no card sleeve version in my own collection. It was release in the same series as the Dynasty (3CD) and Long live to the Queen (2CD zurich 1982).
i will check if I can get extra info for you.
Great!
Thanks for filling in this gap, ghostwithasmile. Any chance you can upload scans of the cd cover art?
After downloading a couple tracks, this matches the alternate source I had listed on my website. It just wasn't labeled properly.
Just a suggestion.... for future shares, you should download a program called "FLAC Frontend" and encode the wav files to FLAC. It will make the files half the size and no quality will be lost, which will make for a quicker download.
Hi there, dear Sir GH, could you please upload it in ".flac" format, no-one but you could do this job, you're the expert in this field, so if you have the software you mentioned before please do the conversion and share it here on megaupload or torrent, as you prefer!, thanks in advance
pd: by the way you're website (and this of course) is great! ;=)
Perhaps someone else can? 73 other people grabbed the torrent, and it's pretty easy to do.
I only downloaded a few tracks to check the quality, so I haven't even got the whole thing. :-)
Dear Sir GH, .wav files will make my hard to explode if I try to download the show in this format, so if you (or someone as good as you) could convert it to .flac files will be great for all queenzoners out there who sure has my same problem. Thanks in advance!
Hello everyone,
On the first place thanks to ghostwithasmile for sharing this concertregistration with us.
I have tried flac frontend to tagging and converting the wave files, but it didn't work for me, so I have tried another program which I also use to listen to my flac-files: Foobar2000.
I have converted the wave files to flac level 8 with using Foobar2000 as converting tool.
I have also edited the tag's to: "Queen - GAGA 2CD" with Foobar2000
Here are the rapidshare files: link link link link link link
