This is the first chance I've had to write a few words about the gig at the o2 on Monday, to sum it all up I can only say that from where I was (just left of centre of the catwalk, 3ft from the rail) they were bloody fantastic! So much better than the 2005 tour, they felt like a proper unit... All 3 were on good form, even if Brian did take a bit of time to get going (he seemed to perk up after Love Of My Life). Roger seemed in an extremely good mood, first coming down the catwalk and shouting "F**k my old boots!" is a pretty good statement about how you feel!
There isn't much I can post that hasn't been said before, but the few bits I can say is that of all the new stuff, Say It's Not True & Cosmos Rocks had the best reception, followed by C-lebrity. We Believe is good live but the sort of song that needs to be known for people to join in, and I loved Surf's Up... School's Out.... even if they didn't do the nice middle 8.
The intro could do with some working on as it builds up nicely, then stops dead with the gap between the intro of Surf's Up and Hammer To Fall. Radio Ga Ga also felt a bit plonky in it's shortened version.
Anyway I really enjoyed myself all the same, as did friends of mine who I took who weren't the biggest of Queen fans - they were all suitably rocked!
