BRIAN MAY - Una Noche En Sevilla
From the Metal Crash bootleg (silvers)
Concert in Sevilla, 19th October 1991
Lineage :
CD Una Noche En Sevilla (Metal Crash) --> Wav (EAC) --> Flac (Frontend (8))
The Guitar Legend is an annual festival held by the best guitar-players of all times.
Only in 1991 such marvellous show has been planned to be taking place over the course
of 5 days, allowing one night for each musical style. The last of those 5 nights was
dedicated to the most popular musical style : heavy rock. Brian May was the host of the
show. No promotion of new albums or whatever, just guitarists and musicians playing
together !
Among the artists on this night :
Guitarists : Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Nuno Bettencourt, Joe Walsh (drunk...), and of course
Brian May!
Drummers : Steve Ferrone, Cozy Powell (oh so great..)
Bassists : Nathan East, Neil Murray (it's beginning to look like the Brian May Band...)
Vocals : Gary Cherone, Paul Rodgers (another evidence that he and Queen were made to meet up
here and there during all those years, everyone has his own opinion about that !)
Keyboards : Rick Wakeman
Personnally, I would have been happy to see Roger Taylor performing there too... Maybe Slash...
Well, this double CD is something oh that great, of course if you don't like screaming
guitars and guitar heroes, don't download, this is really a musicians'furia !
Here we go for the tracklisting :

The artwork is also included. The booklet gives you some view about what happened this
night. I personnally think the story about Joe Walsh being drunk was surely a funny moment !

Steve Ferrone is AWESOME. When I saw Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers in June of 06, his drums were so powerful and loud I almost couldn't breathe, It was AMAZING.
Thanks, glad you like, especially this Brian May event. Great lot of good musicians isn't it ?
That digusted me from guitar playing for a while...
Rock on !! Till you drop !!

Olivier,

I thought this was the soundbard version taken from the video but loseless.
I don't mind this an audience recording but, for example, as daffy said, if you allow me to choose between a lossy soundboard recording and an audience loseless recording I'd rather stick with the 1st option.
Still thanks a lot for sharing dear Olivier! ;-)
Great concert. Just one month later, Freddie died. Difficult time!
For me the best moment is Brian playing "Liberty" with Steve VAi and Joe Satriani. It can´t get better than that!
Take care
