I've managed to acquire a bit more of this show from an alternate source, and luckily it includes Freddie's speech during Now I'm Here. He says, "I've never seen so many shoes on stage. It's like bloody Chelsea Cobbler, I tell you!"
The person recording the better-sounding source pressed pause at times, trying to save tape, so all he recorded was: "I've never s... like bloody Chelsea Cobbler, I tell you!" I used a bit more of the alternate source though, because the better source distorts around the cut.
So now we've basically got a couple seconds more. I wouldn't ordinarily make a big deal of this kind of thing, but as far as I know, it's the only Queen performance where audience members were throwing shoes at the band, prompting Freddie to react like that. link
I've cross-faded the alternate source in and out. Just open up the previous version of Now I'm Here in a wave editor and splice this bit in carefully.
Or - here's the complete song with the edit: link
Hope you all like. Sorry in advance if there are SBEs.
Way to go Bob! Always trying make a show even better, if only a couple of seconds. I look forward to hearing freddie say that the Chelsea Cobbler bit. Many thanks.
Second per second, Bob is going to complete the whole lot of Queen concerts, from Ibex to Queen + Michael Jackson (yes, I was told h's going to be the next Queen singer, provided he can sing louder than Roger and the Red Special, and provided he finds where his nose is stored, because we can't sing without a nose).
And when he achieves this, sure that he will add the seconds before and after the shows, when everyone is fighting behind the scenes... Such a programme !
Bob is not a sound engineer, he is a sound genius. Perfectionism will always lead to quality. That's why Bob's precious to us, and we should all take lesson of this (and stop sharing MP3, blahblahblah...) !
Hope you're doing fine Bob!
can't wait your next shares !
Bye,
Olivier,

Thanks for this Bob, I have your 17.10.1981 Puebla compilation on the way in a trade :D Perhaps you can edit this part into the Now I'm Here track and upload that? I would feel more comfortable if you or some other skilled person did it :P

Are you getting the exact version that was shared here? I'm asking because I've traded a version with this extra part as well.

Hey bob,
I just got an email from the guy im getting the show from, he saw my previous post here, and told me that the version he sent IS the compilation, but doesn't have the Now I'm Here spliced in. I'd be very grateful if you could splice it into the Now I'm Here track and re-upload that, I'd rather someone more experienced did it :)
