Hello Everyone
Brooks here. Yes I am still alive and I am still reading all the stuff you guys are offering, and I'm learning certain details which are greatly interesting and helpful.
I have been working on Queen projects full time this past two months, non-stop, but I am catching up now. I have started collating all the info on Queen live footage, and there is MUCH of it to look at, some of it conflicting, as you can see yourself - but that's to be expected.
You guys definitely believe there is more Queen live footage in our archive than there actually is, but again that's to be expected. I would have presumed the same things myself, and indeed I did pre-1997. As promised I will let you know what there is and what there is not, just as soon as I get thru all this stuff. It takes a lot of time to do properly.
It has amazed me what we all know collectively. The tiny details do tend to mount up and by cross-referencing data the whole fragmented picture in certain examples does gradually start to make more sense as some of the pieces fall into place.
Keep it coming. It's all greatly useful. I'll be back soon with some of those missing pieces soon.
Regards
Hi Greg,
sorry for the DUMB Question, but any chance of leaking a little info regarding a future live album or box set, please.
Not that we can't wait another few years (rumours started way back in... '98) ;-) but it would be nice to know - knowing things always change...
Please????
I'll buy you a Belgian beer should you ever come to Brussels...
Hmmm... Nice talk!! Finished your school a bit to early?! Let me guess... 15 years old?.......
Some people want to see some more action pal. Been to several conventions and always the same demo's we hear. Asked G.B to be some more specific. Like to have some detailed info after givin' about 13 pages of Queeninfo to G.B. May I? .
Please, let´s stick to what matters here, and not start arguing again. If Greg could he would let us know about the Box Sets or other releases.
To think that he has permission to do so but chooses not to, it´s not only childish from us, but a bit naíve too!
Let´s talk about what´s out there without expecting to have some return.
If we do it without Greg asking us, why should we not doing when he asks us to?
If someone feels like not wanting to, then that´s fine, but why expressing it and flaming the forum again?
If we want to have some good bonus on DVD´s or releases then let´s try and help.
Take care

Just shooting straight to the point isn't it understood that only 15 professional concerts exist at all? It seems I recall at least four of them being from the "Magic Tour" as well.

They recorded 19 live killers shows, they recorded about 6 Crazy tour shows, they recorded several Magic tour shows, the earl's court shows from '77, houston , the 3 last shows from the NOTW'78 tour, the UK shows from the works tour, rock in rio, the rainbow shows, hammersmith, hyde park,LA '77, golder's green,...There are more than 15 shows multitrack recorded, probably about 70 as greg stated.
But my question to greg is:how many soundboardrecordings are there? Brian once said Queen recorded about every show that way to hear their performance and that these were locked away somewhere...
Would be nice to have some soundboardrecordings, for example for download on Queenonline, would be worth paying for it

I assume you're talking about audio here(even though the thread topic is *footage*). If you are you list is still incorrect.

I'm talking about audio and my list is incomplete but I think for the most part correct.Fact is we don't know exactly what is in the archive. Greg promised info but he doesn't deliver it. Personally I don't think we'll ever hear of it again:-)
I for one was talking about how there are understood to be 15 concerts professionally filmed with them as a four piece group. I would assume that they are all multi-tracked as well.
