Bits and pieces Over 350000 fans have witnessed the start of the tour (it was a free concert). After some "thunderbolts and lightning" and a Cosmos Rockin' intro the band came on stage and launched the set with One Vision. The song wasn't played in its entirety, TYMD followed after the "look what they've done to my dreams" line. Fat Bottomed Girls had a short White Man intro, just like on previous tours. Hammer To Fall was just the fast version and continued fluently into I Want It All (which was sadly played without the "middle part"). Paul's Seagull is back in the setlist. '39 was performed first by Brian (acoustic guitar) and Roger (bass drum) on the B-stage, then suddenly they stopped and invited the rest of the band (except for Paul) for the "full" version. A short bass solo (included snippets of Another One Bites The Dust and Under Pressure) followed - and was performed by Danny and Roger together (Danny on fret, Roger on strings with his drumsticks!). Say It's Not True was (of course) the Cosmos Rocks version. Shooting Star became a nice addition to the set. The guitar solo doesn't include the painful Chinese Torture anymore - but Bijou (with Freddie's studio vocals) was a VERY NICE surprise!!! Radio Ga Ga was sung entirely by Paul this time. Bohemian Rhapsody once again features Freddie on the screen but this time from Montreal 1981 instead of Wembley 1986. The typical encore was launched by the title track from the new album (which is great). Total length of the concert: amazing 146 minutes!
