Brian was an expected guest at this tribute concert; however he also promised to play with Darkness that night so instead of being a guest for the grand finale, he played simply at the very beginning of the concert. Roger was somehow expected too but his mum sadly died a few days before.

This concert was part of a FM birthday bash held to raise funds for The Mercury Phoenix Trust. As this was unfortunately an event for the "C-lebrities", we don't know much about the performance and there are no audio or video recordings either which is a shame because the setlist was highly interesting! Please note Brian and Roger may not have played in ALL those tracks - this was just my assumption. All I know is that Brian and Roger played in *most* tracks, Spike was on keyboards and Neil Fairclough on bass...

Brian visited the West Lea facility in Enfield to present teachers with a new, specially adapted minibus. Upon arrival, Brian and Anita were greeted with rapturous applause and a performance from the Kaos Choir, a combined group of singers from West Lea and neighbouring Hazelbury Infant School. Brian then signed a guitar, which the school will auction to raise money, before using it to play along with the choir as they sang again. Dail Express reports: "He played We Will Rock You and had all the kids clapping and stamping their feet. He even played a few numbers with the school choir."

The event was held to celebrate Battersea Dogs & Cats Home's 150th anniversary. According to Brian, the organisers failed to run the evening to time and there was a strict curfew so a lot of songs had to be cut; among them being Brian's "Fire" and "I Don't Want Nobody (Teasin' Around With Me)".

Roger Taylor married his girlfriend Sarina Potgieter. The 36-year-old bride wore a purple wedding dress and the celebrations had a black and red theme as the pair staged an unusual ceremony at their home in Surrey. The reception was in a huge black and red marquee in their garden and all the waiters wore black. The tables were black and they even had black patent leather sofas outside. The theme was almost bondage. The party included live music performed by close friends - Brian May, Joe Elliot, Roger Daltrey, Bob Geldof, Martin Chambers, The SAS band, Mike Rutherford, Nick Mason, Rufus Taylor, Felix Taylor, Josh Macrae, Gary Brooker, The Fabba Girls, Ryan Molloy and Jeff Scott Soto. Unfortunately we have absolutely no idea about the tracks they played. Also Sarina's tatoo proves that the wedding was most likely on August 26 but the afterparty was almost certainly on September 25.
