Queen + Paul Rodgers tour (2006)

Percussion
Roger's drumkit Roger's drumkit Roger's drumkit Roger's drumkit Paul's tambourine
Same drumkit as for the 2005 tour except that Roger doesnt' play congas anymore and a new 18" crash is now part of the drumkit. The kit is mainly a Ludwig, except the bass drum, which is a Sleishman. Here we go:
  • bass drum: 24"x20" Sleishman
  • toms: 10"x9", 14"x13" Ludwig Classic Maple
  • floor toms: 16"x16", 18"x16" Ludwig Classic Maple
  • snare: maple 14x6.5 or maple 14x8 (depending on the venue)
  • roto-toms: 12", 14", 16" (or 12", 13" and 14"?)
  • wind chimes: LP Double Row Studio (above the 18" floor tom)
  • cowbell: also Ludwig, size 6,7/8
Cymbals are all by Zildjian:
  • hi-hat: Avedis New Beat 15"
  • crash: K Dark Medium Thin brilliant 17" (on his left), K Dark Crash Medium Thin traditional 18" (on his left), K Dark Crash Medium Thin traditional 19" (on his right), K Crash/Ride traditional 20" (on his right)
  • ride: Avedis Ping Ride traditional 22"
  • china: Oriental Trash brilliant 20" (on his right)
Hardware by Ludwig (new ones, you can see they got a red label). The double-bass pedal he's using is a DW 9000, apparently the best pedal in the world :-) Drumheads were Emperor Coated (toms), Ambassador Clear (floor toms) and Powerstroke 3 (snare and bassdrum). Roger used Vic Firth 5B Wood tip drumsticks (similar ones were also on sale as official merchandise). The bass drum logo is a "Queen" writing (Works font). Roger also used a tambourine (probably Ludwig) for TATDOOL. Paul also had a tambourine but I'm not sure about the brand.

Bass guitar
Danny's Fender Precision bass guitar Danny's Fender Precision bass guitar Danny's Fender Precision bass guitar Danny Miranda had a Fender Precision bass guitar, like John used to use.

Electric guitars
Brian's Red Special Greg Fryer's RS replica Andrew Guyton's RS replica Jamie's Fender Stratocaster Jamie's Gibon Les Paul Jamie's Sunburst Burns RS replica Jamie's Ibaņez (replica?)
Brian's main guitar was the original Red Special (first photo). He also probably had two Greg Fryer's replicas but I have found only one photo with one of them (second photo). In exceptional cases Brian could also use an Andrew Guyton's replica (third photo). Jamie's main guitar still is the Fender Stratocaster (fourth photo). For some songs he had a Gibson Les Paul (fifth photo), a Sunburst Burns Red Special replica (sixth photo) in Hammer To Fall or AOBTD and I have also found a photo of him playing a Flames custom made electric.

Acoustic guitars
Brian's 12-string Guild acoustic guitar Paul's Yamaha Silent guitar Brian's Yamaha Silent guitar Jamie's 12-string Guild acoustic guitar
Brian still had the custom 12-string Guild acoustic guitar for Love Of My Life and '39 (first photo). For Crazy Little Thing Called Love Paul had a steel string Yamaha Silent guitar (second photo) and Brian had a nylon string Yamaha Silent guitar (third photo). (The Yamaha guitars are actually technically electric, not acoustic). Jamie had an acoustic Gibson J-45 for CLTCL and I Want It All and a 12-string Guild for Reachin' Out and Feel Like Makin' Love (fourth photo). Both Jamie and Danny then probably had another 12-string Guild for Say It's Not True which was played only in Miami.

Keyboards
Paul's Yamaha piano Spike Edney Paul played a beautiful Yamaha piano (probably C7) in Bad Company. Spike's equipment probably stayed the same:
  • 2 x Korg Triton Extreme LE
  • 1 x Korg CX-3 Organ (also used in conjunction with the MIDI from the Kontrol 49 to control samples)
  • 1 x Korg Kontrol 49 (to trigger samples such as WWRY)
  • 1 x Korg microKORG
