New York New York

Posted on 07.03.2004 21:08:23
Hi all!

Remember when Freddy sings "New York New York" whilst Kurgan tears over the bridge, mowing down pedestrians in Highlander?
Is there a recording available of him singing this as I think he sings it (the part you hear in the film anyway) brilliantly - that song was made for him.

No, at least we don't know of such a recording (but I guess it probably is in the archives). Still, this excerpt is apparently the only part which was recorded.

I actually hadn't heard this until Highlander was on the tele the other week. Quite a good film, quite strange but pretty good.

Doesn't beat Flash though! :-)

It would be nice to think there is more in the archives and we see an "official" soundtrack (instead of AKOM) for the film.

I don't really know, because I don'T have this one, but I think that is, what your are all looking for...

The soundtrack includes the movie samples too.

Plus it's not official, as far as I know. It appearaed on ebay for the first time last year and is appearing there every week since. Or maybe it was released together with the DVD but it still is worthless.

It's a bootleg. A collector checked it on a record fair and he told me it's definitely a bootleg.
