5.1 remixes

Posted on 21.03.2007 02:06:00
I just did a search for 5.1 on this forum but there hasn't been any chat about surround for a while I think. Brian definitely said on his soapbox, some time ago, that ADATR would be the next remixed in 5.1 album to come out. Has there been any updates??? Thanks

I don't think so. I thought they wanted to release one from the 70's (ANATO), 80's (Game) and 90's - Innuendo perhaps? ADATR would be cool too. But I guess they abandoned this idea for a while, now there's a lot of money to be made on the Q+PR project :)

Might it be possible that the new album will come out in both formats (stereo and 5.1) at the same time? Fleetwood Mac, amongst others, have done this recently. That would be cool!!!

Isn't bit strange that any Queen album in 5.1 are release in so long 'sweep of time' ? First ANATO in 2002, then The Game in 2003 and ADATR in probably 2007 / 08.... and don't forget about 30th anniversary release of ANATO in 2005. I understand that some of master tapes was stolen /or lost by the time (if I remember some stuf from NOTW for example) and Brian don't have a time but isn't will be better to release Queen albums in some series "5.1" or somethink - for example I wonder how long was mixed in 5.1 all The Doors albums in his aniversary in that year?
As always few mysterious in Queen world :)

I think Brian likes to personally supervise everything so he's got to have time in his busy schedule to see to EVERYTHING!!! Bless Him!
