NEW QUEEN TOUR

Posted on 04.01.2007 02:43:16
If Queen are to go on tour again, which by the sounds of it they are planning to, what songs would u want them to play.

Sounds silly i know but they tend to play the "favourites" now like AOBTD, and AKOM, CLTCL, Radio Ga Ga.

Now there not bad songs, i love them infact, but wouldn't it be nice to see something different. Like go back and play some of the old stuff like on the first tours. Ok you have to have the obvious, BR, WWRU, AND WRTC etc. But here are a few songs i would like them to play:

Innuendo
The Prophets Song
Liar
Son And Daughter
Was It All Worth It
Father To Son
Nevermore/March Of The Black Queen
The Miliionaire Waltz
The Miracle

And bring back Now I'm Here!!!!!

P.S. Get ride of The Show Must Go On!!! It sounds terrible!!!! Not suitable live!!! No pashion in it live!!!

Yes, The Millionaire Waltz and Liar would be wonnndreful! ^^
They came up to my mind when reading the first line of the first message.

And of course I'd be happy if they played In the lap of the gods...

...And if they only came to Finland!! Queen have been here only once, in 1974. They always go to Stockholm but never even in Helsinki *crying*
Somebody please make them come here :D

Personally I would like to hear more John & Freddie songs since their songs were LARGELY ignored last time out. I say drop even a few hits, change the Paul Rodgers material and obviously add a few from the forthcoming album which should be out by then. Also, drop Bo Rhap. The freddie/Paul approach was touching and neat. However, It shouldn't be repeated as it would get old and I have a better way to incorporate it.

I say that the perfect concert would be as such:

Intro: Bo Rhap intro (ala night at the opera tour) Band bursts onto stage to play the fast part and segues into

-Headlong
-Fat Bottomed Girls
-Rock & Roll Fantasy
-NEW SONG
-Medley (Made up of a hit or two and some obscure stuff) Maybe: Killer Queen/Dead On Time/Keep Yourself Alive/If You Cant Beat Them/I Was Born To Love You
-Crazy Little Thing Called Love
-NEW SONG
-Shooting Star
-Let There Be Drums/I'm In Love With My Car
-Now I'm Here/Dragon Attack

Acoustic Set
-'39
-Long Away
-Love Of my Life

-These Are The Days Of Our Lives
-NEW SONG
-It's Late
-Guitar Solo
-Last Horizon
-Another One Bites The Dust
-Radio Ga Ga
-Liar
-NEW SONG
-Bad Company
-Spread Your Wings
-Feel Like Making Love
-Princes Of The Universe
-I Want It All
-Tie Your Mother Down

ENCORES:
-Innuendo
-We Will Rock You
-All Right Now
-We Are The Champions

32 songs. Might be a great show!

We Will Rock You
Bohemian Rhapsody
We Are The Champions
Is the must love and I will love to see them back

Be great if they featured more stuff from the '70's.Maybe its becos it's my fave Queen era...... I saw my 1st Queen concert in Liverpool (and their last Liverpool show) waaaaay back in Dec 1979,so looking forward to the show in Liverpool this year....Liverpool arena....30 years too late.....

I would like them to play:
-some songs that were rarely played last time(Long Away);
-Some songs they didn't play in Europe last time(preferably Dragon Attack, I Was Born To Love You or maybe even Teo Torriatte);
-Some Songs they were gonna do last time(One Vision, Is This The World We Created?);
-Some songs they did on one-off concerts(Don't Stop Me Now, Sleepin' On The Sidewalk, Too Much Love Will Kill You, etc.)

They don't have to play all of 'em of course, but some would be nice.

Hi. I wrote to Brian May and told him I could die happy if only they would do "Ogre Battle". I think it would be fantastic to hear them recreate some early Queen stuff --
From Queen I: Liar, Great King Rat, Modern Times Rock n Roll, Doing All Right, Jesus
From Queen II: White Queen, March of the Black Queen, and, of course, Ogre Battle.
From Sheer Heart Attack: Now I'm Here, Brighton Rock, Misfire
Also, it would be fun to hear a couple of Brian & Roger's solo songs...maybe Roger's "Future Management" or "Turn on the TV" (those are great songs!) Brian's "Let Me Out" or "Star Fleet"?

This was a great question!! Wouldn't it be cool if someone from Queen camp was checking this out to get feedback about which songs to perform??

stormtrooper: I'm afraid Queen (management or/and the band) don't give a damn what fans want. Even contacting them is pretty difficult and persuading them to do something... impossible.

Webmaster: Your comment that Queen "don't give a damn what fans want" sounds nothing like Queen at all and I find it somewhat offensive. If a band as iconic as The Rolling Stones care what fans want to hear (they took polls and played certain requested songs in concert), then Queen is definitely not too important to care. As an avid Queen fan for 30 years, I've met Brian, Roger and John many times and they were always extremely friendly and approachable. It never entered my mind that they were insincere. To me, Brian and Roger are completely genuine and would have nothing but high regard for people like those found on your esteemed website who have nothing but high regard for the band.
