Hello, about two months ago I've bought some old casset tapes with concerts from Queen. I'm now busy with putting those concerts on to cd. While doing that I use this site to check if I've got the complete concert or just parts from it. I'm now in 1975, and the tape is called "26-11-1975, Manchester Free Trade Hall, 2nd concert. At a certain point Freddie says something like:"..how nice it is to be here in Manchester, it's realy nice to do 2 shows and to see you in the second half." so that proves to me that this is indeed the second (evening) concert in Manchester. (later on the show Freddie says goodnight and stuff like that) When I checked this website I noticed that this recording isn't being called in the list, is this an unknown recording then? Or are there more people who have got this concert?

Also after Ogre battle Freddie say " Thank You, good evening everybody." so it's must be second show. Realy don't know why few people marked this recording like a "afternoon gig". What quality is in Your tape ? - my copy is close to excellent.

How do you get your tapes, red special, because it would be great to get unknown queen concerts what a thrill.

Hallo Lurex, the quality of my tape is very good I think, but I'm not an expert, so I don't know if it is excellent or not. Apperantly it is a known recording because you also have got a copy of it. But it is a bit different from the afternoon gig setlist I think. (I haven't got the afternoon gig). Flick of the wrist ends with a small part of Brighton Rock and the end of the show contains a very small part from Shake, rattle & roll and a sort of improvisation on Be bop a lula. My conclusion is there are recordings of both concerts, or am I making a mistake somewhere? n.j.s, I bought these tapes on the internet, someone wanted to move en get rid of a lot of stuff, including a lot of concert tapes from Queen and others. I'm quite happy with these tapes : )

But You have for sure this one what most of us have. sample of my version to compare quality: http://www.savefile.com/files/4579311 You said - "But it is a bit different from the afternoon gig setlist I think." - Do You saw someone who have in 100% recording from afternoon ?????? At know gig from afternoon concert in Manchester '75 wasn't leaked. "Shake, rattle & roll and a sort of improvisation on Be bop a lula" - my one have the same thinks in Jailhouse Rock. |

Sorry, I guess the recording in my list is indeed from the evening performance. It must be my mistake - because at one point I got two Manchester recordings from an old collector who had the tapes since 1975 but found out that one of them was fake. So as far as I know, there's only one Manchester recording available - the evening performance. The quality differs though - I myself have two versions I think.

Hello Lurex, you will have to wait for a sample because our cat has bitten the cable between my computer and radio in 3 parts. I don't know if I can repair that. And I don't really know how to put the sample on the site you gave, but I'll give it a try. I've listened to your version and I think it souds quite the same (I mean quality). Is this your original version or a version wich you have freshned up? I don't know someone with a recording of the afternoon concert but I compared my version with the setlist written on this site. I think Mr. Scully has already solved the problem but I will try to put my version online (the same part of the concert as yours) so we can compare the quality.

Hallo Lurex, I have repaired the cable and I've put 2 samples on the site you used. The first one is my original copy, the second one is a bit freshned up. I've also speeded up that second part because I think my original copy is a bit to slow. http://www.savefile.com/files.php?fid=9729581 target=_blank>http://www.savefile.com/files.php?fid=2189234 http://www.savefile.com/files.php?fid=9729581
