Brians version of somewhere over the rainbow

Posted on 03.12.2003 22:00:16
I downloaded this off Kazaa - anyone know what its from - an outtake or something ?- or why he recorded it ?

II think it's fake.

It has nothing to do with Brian at all.

Posted on 14.01.2004 23:39:14
In another forum somebody said that it was played by Joe Satriani.

Nothing to do with May or Satriani or Yngwie or Vai or anyone else who's name the file in p2p services carries (even Richie Sambora ..)

Someone at queenzone (forgot who)
confirmed that it was by
Chris Impellitteri. Although I don't have his 1988 album 'Stand In Line' to confirm this, the album does contain an instrumental cover of the song according to online sources, whereas the other people claimed to be the performers of this tune have never ever recorded the song according to their discographies. Go figure.

speaking of Brian...is the version of "Butterfly" Brian is playing at the beginning of the One Vision documentary the only known version of the song??

Apparently yes.
