Does anybody know what Mexican TV station has recorded / owns the video recording of the Queen concert in Monterrey, 9.10.1981? Televisa, Canal 11, Canal 13 or some other one?

I AM A QUEEN FAN FROM MONTERREY AND I WAS SEARCHING FOR THAT VIDEO ALSO, I WENT TO THE "STADIO UNIVERSITARIO" WHERE QUEEN PLAYED ON OCTOBER 9TH, BUT THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY WERE NOT SURE IF THERE WAS A VIDEO RECORDING OF THE CONCERT (BUT I GUESS THEY WON'T SHOW IT IF THEY HAVE IT..) I ASKED IN THE CURRENT TV STATIONS BUT NOTHING...I COULD ONLY GOT SOME PICTURES OF THE CONCERT...UNFOTUNATELY SOMEBODY STOLE ME MY PICS!!, ANYWAY , I MET A GUY ON MEXICO CITY WHO TOLD ME HE HAD FILMED LIKE 8 MINS FROM THE PUEBLA CONCERT,ALTHOUGH HE NEVER SHOWS IT TO ANYBODY...! I THINK QUEEN PRODUCTIONS MUST OWN A VIDEO RECORDING...IN A VERY INTERESTING REPORT FROM A MEXICAN MAGAZINE CALLED "LENGUA"(TONGUE) THERE'S A REPORT FROM THE MONTERREY CONCERT VERY INTERESTING. IT SAYS A GUY FROM A RADIO STATION IN MEXICO OWNS SOUNDBOARD RECORDINGS OF THE CONCERT AND SOMETIMES HE PLAYS ONE OR TWO TRACKS ON SPECIAL QUEEN OCCASSIONS! IT'S A SHAME THAT HE WON'T SHARE IT!

I've been told that The UNAM University of Mexico owns copies of the three shows, and have been broadcasted only to the students there. But it's almost imposible to get a copy of any of them, because they strictly have those kept videos... but a private 8 minutes recording of the Puebla Show is avalaible...

Wow!!! We must get this copies! PS 3 shows from Mexico?! Monterrey and 2 shows from Puebla? It's a joke?

Yeah... I´m talking to that mexican guy to see if he could get copies from those shows... I guess they will be very expensives... but rewarding!!!

Im a former radio DJ of D-99 in Monterrey, and I remember playing "Love of my Life" off the Monterrey concert, including the spoken intro in which Brian forgot his speech in spanish by the middle of it, and ended speaking english. I lost my copy of it , but Im sure they still have it there. But I have never heard anything else from that concert. I would really love to see the video of it. On the WWRY dvd recorded in Canada, the director comments that they have originally planned to firm the Monterrey concert to release it as WWRY instead of the Canada, they did not because they didnt enough time to prepare the production crew. What a shame.

A close friend of mine (queen fan) lived in Monterrey some years ago, he told me that ha contacted a guy from a local TV station who owns the complete show. He told me that he saw the entire show, but couldn't get a copy. It was recorded with a single camera with no movements nor close ups, only the compltete stage scene. The guy from the TV station gave a Roger's drumstick to my friend.

If Queen Productions don't have this video yet, I'm quite sure they would be willing to buy it.

they( the people who have access to it) want to much for it, and if Queen does get it, would they ever put it out knowing that WWRY is allready out? this tour is not as famous as the Magic tour, I dont see Queen Prod. putting this out. With the Screen shots I got sometime ago, it's bad, it's a good distance, no close ups, if QP put this out only die hards would buy it, and they would lose money, it would stay in some vualt for years, better keep it away from QP and in the fans grasp of reach. Just dont be stupid to send money to some one who claims to have it, I been planning on going to Mexico, if I have a chance of meeting some one and seeing some of the video first, I'll buy it.

According to BM, Queen productions own the right to every single show ever to be filmed except for WWRY which is owned by Mobilevision. That is why it is so crap because director Saul Swimmer wont let QP edit or remix it in any way.

I live in Mexico city, I was a Queen fan already at age 11, when the band came to play in Monterrey and Puebla (rock concerts were banned in this city back then). The night Queen played their first show at Puebla, a local radio station here aired a recording of the Monterrey show, which I recorded also, but the cassette tape got very old and unplayable through the years. The radio station that aired it (Radio Exitos) disappeared many years ago, but the company that owned it still exists (Núcleo Radio Centro), so it's possible they could have some recordings of the show(s) stored.
