Quick News Of The World question

Posted on 04.10.2003 22:51:45
being a young Queen fan, sorry if this is an obvious question, maybe I missed it somewhere along my Queen life, but...

What are those italic lyrics found at the beginning of "All Dead, All Dead" about?

reads something along the lines of "Memories my sweet memories", something like that, but I haven't got the album to hand at the mo.

Any help please-one of you clever sods must know.

Cheers

I'm no expert, but I believe the song is in memory of Brian's cat. Someone else may be able to confirm this....

I tried everywhere to get that fragment, I thought it was perhaps some poem by one of Brian's favorite writers.

Some of Queen songs had textual quotes, but specially Freddie's: three lines of 'My Fairy King' are from 'The Pied Piper Of Hamlin' by Robert Browning. Also 'In The Lap Of The Gods' is a sentence of the Oddysey
