I was at that concert. As I remember Queen were on first, bunch of leather clad Cockney Gits, got about 5 encores, people were really happy with them - well I was. Then there was a commedien next, I forget his name, going bald with the comb over, he was pretty out there for his time, glad to get him off. Then it was Mott the Hoople as the main band.

I was at this concert. Myself and friend had heard rumblings about the new band Queen but were surprised by the singer running around with the top part of his mike stand! New single 'Seven Seas of Rhye' repeated as one of a couple of encores, went out and bought it the day after. The 'rock and roll circus' then offered us Max Wall whose comic routines and silly walks did not go down well with a crowd desperate for Mott the Hoople to take the stage!
