Bits and pieces
Dave says: 'Somebody in the balcony threw some eggs on the stage and Brian slipped and fell down during The Millionaire Waltz. Freddie stopped the show and said "Listen you motherfuckers, we don't have to play for you if we don't want to. But for the other 99% of you who want to see the show, we will continue." Probably as a result of this incident, Queen didn't play the standard r'n'r encore - the only encore was Now I'm Here.'
Michael adds: 'I witnessed first hand Brian falling down on stage, but my recollection was that from above and behind the stage, ice was thrown, not eggs. It was extremely cold that evening and ice had formed on the inside of the roof of the Stadium. I do remember Freddie scolding the crowd and the entire building was shocked that our “hero” could fall victim to such an idiotic prank.'
